The old Kharpocho Fort which was built in the sixteenth century and provides panoramic views of the Skardu valley is another appreciated destination. Trekking, mountain climbing, and seeing local glaciers like the Baltoro and Biafo Glaciers are some of the other well-liked activities in Skardu. Visitors can also purchase gifts, handmade items, and local foods from bazaars or markets. The summer months of May through September are the best time for travel to Skardu. It's easier to enjoy the amazing scenery because of the fantastic weather, clearer skies, and better visibility. However, the weather can be erratic. Therefore, it is wise to carefully review the weather prediction before making travel arrangements.
